Re: Teapots
Milk in the cup BEFORE the tea. You don't want to damage your best bone china by pouring hot liquid straight onto the porcelain.

And don't make such a bloody racket when stirring by banging the teaspoon around the inside of the cup. With a bit of practice you can stir perfectly well without touching the sides, plus you won't damage the up (see above)

Re: Teapots
If bag in mug method always put the milk in before the water. Fact.

Re: Teapots
I sometimes go to a teashop where they serve over 100 different varieties of tea from all over the world

I love tea & one of the best cups I ever had was when fishing in Ireland. Water straight out the lough poured into a huge kettle containing a handful of teabags & the whole being brought to boil over a log fire & shared out between about 15 of us. Nectar of the Gods!

I had a great cup of tea once in a motorway service station. It was so good I ordered a similar teapot on the internet

This was no ordinary teapot though. It had a kind of mesh strainer insert built into it so you could add exactly the amount of tea leaves to your taste & leave the insert in or remove it if preferred. A brilliant design & as easy to use as teabags

I'm surprised you don't see many about

Re: Teapots
Tea in a mug is surely OK when times of suppage differ..

Advice: buy Yorkshire Tea. You can get 3 mugs out of one bag. Top brew, best you can buy without going poncey.

Obligatory "Northern cunts" mention, before someone else.

Re: Teapots
they say that u should have tea in thin fine china or a glass rather than a mug as it tastes better because something to do with the air getting in ur mouth when u sip or something....

Re: Teapots
13 years ago, after a 2 day blowout and a massive row with the mrs, I ended up doing a shit in the teapot before passing out.

Forgot all about it and only found out a week later when social services came round for a cuppa.

Miserable sods did not see the funny side to say the least but fuck me how I laughed.

Haven't seen my kids since but it was worth it.

Re: Teapots
Yorkshire Gold in a teapot when I've got the time, which is most days. Sometimes I'll have a Yellow Label in a mug, which just ain't the same.

Re: Teapots
